Three-Year Revenue Growth of 450% Positions Mobile Workforce Solutions Leader Among Nation’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies

BOSTON, Mass., August 17, 2021 – Motus, the definitive leader in mobile workforce solutions, was today named to the 2021 Inc. 5000 list for the third consecutive year, ranking No. 1080 out of 5000 on Inc. Magazine’s list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. Since its inception in 1982, the Inc. 5000 list has recognized organizations that include Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia and many other well-known brands. With a three-year revenue growth of 449.8%, Motus distinguished itself among the 80th percentile of the most successful independent businesses in the nation.

“The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” says Scott Omelianuk, Editor-in-Chief of Inc. “Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we’ve lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people.”

The recognition comes after Motus swiftly deployed resources towards a new means of serving the “mobile workforce” – addressing the rapidly-expanding remote work market. Remote work was on the radar for Motus prior to the pandemic, but it quickly took on a new significance when 54% of the U.S. workforce suddenly found themselves working at home full time as a result of stay-at-home orders. Building on its strong innovation culture and team alignment, Motus was able to bolster its customer base by nearly 10% and achieve a 94% customer retention rate by widening its reimbursement scope to include mobile devices and remote work with three new innovative offerings: Remote Work Reimbursement, Motus Device, and Arriver Services over the course of 2020.

“It’s an honor to earn a place on the Inc. 5000 list for the third straight year, and even more special when you consider the economic disruption and uncertainty caused by COVID-19,” said Craig Powell, President and CEO of Motus. “This recognition is a result of our team’s commitment to innovation and delivering client excellence regardless of circumstance. Our sustained growth in this climate speaks to the value of the Motus platform and our ability to provide essential reimbursement and management tools at a time when they’re needed most.”

In addition to accelerated product development and market expansion, Motus also positioned its internal team and culture for rapid growth in 2020. Following intensive employee engagement research that revealed its team was happier and more productive at home, Motus transitioned its workforce fully remote permanently and embraced “Mobile Workforce” as the fourth pillar of its Motus WorkLife culture. Motus has supported this successful transformation by partnering with restaurant groups, wellness providers and more to develop innovative programs tailored to building culture and collaboration across its fully remote team.
