Motus is Recognized for Continued Innovation in Support of the Mobile Workforce
BOSTON, Mass., May 6, 2019 – Motus, the premier vehicle management and reimbursement platform, was named the winner of a Stevie Award® for Company of the Year in the Computer Services category in the 17th Annual American Business Awards. The nation’s premier business awards program, which received more than 3,800 nominations, recognized Motus for its continued ability to address the needs of the mobile workforce.
When Motus launched in 2004, it recognized an immense potential for digital transformation for “grey fleets” by applying leading-edge technology to vehicle management and reimbursement that enabled mobile employees to dynamically account for both the fixed and variable costs associated with driving for business. In 2018, Motus again recognized an opportunity to better fill the wide breadth of needs for the rapidly-growing mobile workforce population when it successfully completed the acquisition of Runzheimer to become the industry’s dominant vehicle management and reimbursement platform. While transitioning over 830 customers and nearly 85,000 end users from the Runzheimer platform to Motus in the following months, the company maintained a 98.5 percent client retention rate.
“We’re extremely proud that Motus continues to be recognized for our efforts to make work life better for mobile workers and their managers,” said Craig Powell, President and CEO of Motus. “Our entire team has been a tremendous force in delivering value to our customers through churning out new product innovations, providing technical expertise and accomplishing a successful transition and integration for tens of thousands of end users. This award is a testament to the hard work of each member of our team in addition to the powerful platform they’ve all helped to create. I am very proud of all of them and their efforts!”
Motus has also established itself as the go-to industry resource, offering insightful analysis into the challenges that businesses with drivers face today via trend and benchmark reports. Over the last year, Motus released several comprehensive industry reports including:
- The Workforce Mobility Benchmark Report, revealing key industry data on vehicle reimbursement programs and best practices to help companies develop successful growth strategies
- A Distracted Driving Report unveiling the causes of this rising trend in the mobile workforce
- A Fuel Trends Report highlighting key data related to current fuel prices and industry changes that affect those prices
Its data also underpins the IRS business mileage standard, a figure that is released every December.
“The nominations submitted to the 2019 American Business Awards were outstanding,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “They illustrate the continued vibrancy of innovation and high level of achievement across the American economic landscape.”
